2011

Global Infrastructure Asset Management (GIAM) founded by William Fitzgerald with another partner - GIAM raises capital for a private fund and invests in three small-scale renewable energy projects

2014

John Nelson joins GIAM as Operating Partner, providing technical assessment of existing and potential investments, and supporting development

2015

GIAM closes the private fund and returns capital to investors

Global Infrastructure Advisors (GIA) founded by William Fitzgerald; John Nelson joins as Chief Technical Officer

2016

Ford Motor Company commissions GIA to advise it on the Detroit Technical Center Decarbonization Plan.

2018

John Nelson joins Fitzgerald Asset Management (FAM) as Chief Technical Officer; FAM launches ECO-Muni bond strategy

2019

Ford project successfully completed a 50% reduction in carbon footprint
